Job Opportunity: Compliance Officer (AO6)

The Role
As a Compliance Officer (AO6), you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of our Registered Training Organisation (RTO). You will ensure our training and assessment activities align with current Vocational Education and Training (VET) legislation and the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
- Location: Nundah
- Role Type: 3 months + potential to extend
- Reporting to: Executive Manager
Key Accountabilities
Your primary focus will be managing RTO compliance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:
- Regulatory Management: Managing RTO compliance to ensure alignment with legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Quality Control: Developing and maintaining training policies, procedures, manuals, and version control systems.
- Auditing: Coordinating regional RTO audit plans and providing detailed compliance reports to assist with rectification.
- Curriculum Advice: Providing expert advice on curriculum design and supporting staff to maintain their training skills and qualifications.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Maintaining industry engagement to ensure adherence to best practices and identifying new developments.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking an individual who demonstrates the behaviours of an Individual Contributor within the Queensland public sector leadership framework.
Technical Experience & Requirements:
- Qualifications: A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
- RTO Expertise: Proven knowledge and experience in a compliance or quality assurance role within an RTO environment.
- Project Management: Experience with project management methodologies.
- Operational Readiness: As this is a uniformed position, you must have the expertise to be appointed as an Authorised Rescue Officer.
- Flexibility: Capacity to work nights and weekends and participate in an out-of-hours on-call roster during emergency operations.
